With expertise in Computational Biophysics, Bio- informatics, Pre-clinical drug discovery, FDA regulatory mechanisms, patents & formulating IP strategies & medical devices among others, Balaji is also keen on AI in Bio-computing & Drug Discovery. He founded XtalSoft & later co-founded XTAL Biostructures for structure guided drug discovery services. As XTAL CEO he led it to a multimillion-dollar self-funded company with Fortune 500 clients. In 2012 Balaji started Hylasco Biotechnology partnering with Charles River Laboratories, USA & others with a vision to bring down the cost of drug discovery for Pharma & Biotech sectors. He is also the founder of MANTHAN Therapeutics & Technologies. Balaji obtained his Ph.D in Biophysics from Brandeis University (Boston) & taught in University of Massachusetts Medical School.
