Nandan is an alumnus of IIT Bombay. He is the Chairman of Infosys and also served as the Chairman of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). He is the first Indian to be conferred ‘Legend in Leadership Award’ by Yale University. In 2006, he joined 20 global leaders on the World Economic Forum Foundation Board. He was also awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ in 2006. Nandan's ability to spot patterns and foresee the future especially when it comes to the impact of technology on societal change is probably unparalleled.
